The fire started from a room in the B block of camp number 11 of Balukhali around 3 pm on Sunday. The fire has shifted to camp number 9 , 10 and 11 within moments. Sheikh Mohammad Ali, OC of Ukhia police station, said from the spot that the fire has become dangerous due to the presence of gas cylinders in the Rohingya Refugee camp. As the fire spreads over a wide area, it becomes difficult to bring it under control. However, 3 units of fire service are trying to control the fire. As the camp houses are next to each other, the fire has shifted to camp number 11, 10 and 9. The official believes that around a thousand houses of Rohingyas have already been burnt.
