Picture MUST credit: Royal Caribbean A massive new cruise ship has been unveiled — with a record NINE swimming pools aboard. The Hero of the Seas from cruise line Royal Caribbean, which cost $2billion to build, will break a number of records. The nine pools, the most ever at sea, includes a Caribbean themed one and the biggest swim up bar at sea and an adults only area called The Hideaway with two pools. The ship, with a maximum capacity of 7,600 guests, has its maiden voyage in August 2027. It will also feature the biggest waterpark at sea with two new family raft slides as well as the first funnel raft slide at sea. A skywalk-zip line attraction called Crown’s Edge as well as the Flowrider surf simulator, golf courses and rock climbing walls will be available to passengers. There are 28 restaurants and bars to choose from including the jazz-themed Orleans Parish Supper Club. There will also be the food hall stalls as well as Italian, steakhouses, seafood and Mexican options as well. A so-called Royal Promenade will be lined by many of the bars and restaurants, bars as well, along with a 30,500 plant green space called Central Park. The Royal Theatre will stage liver entertainment shows while guests will be able to enjoy the biggest ice arena at sea, called Absolute Zero.
