Got your attention? Good. The Amazon is on fire! This makes me cry every time I think about it. This is not a natural occurrence. The new president of Brazil is helping decimate the lungs of the earth that sequesters millions of tons of carbon every year, for ANIMAL AGRICULTURE. Amazon dies = we die. Feeling at home in your body means you have one less thing to worry about in a world that is prone to worrying. Thats not to say we shouldnt all strive to eat well, keep our bodies active, and keep our vessels in good working order. But when we do indulge in a lavish dinner, or when we see a photo of ourselves that doesnt reflect exactly what we want to look like- it means easing up. Releasing judgment. Operating from a space of understanding and love is the way, especially about ourselves.

Had some frank body talks. Getting real about how I never acknowledged my body when I was younger because I never wanted people to really look at mine and realize I was fat. I thought if I didnt acknowledge it, no one would notice. Then when I started “plus size” modeling, I had so many mixed feelings because now everyone knew I was the very thing I had been trying to hide. The most beautiful thing happened after I had been modeling for a while and started seeing models who were above size 14s that were unbelievably gorgeous. The programming in my mind started rewiring and I realized I too could be gorgeous, at any size. Editing the people you follow and surround yourself with does wonders.

Victorias Secret, primul magazin în România

Victoria’s Secret a deschis primul magazin într-un centru comercial din România. Acesta va fi situat în Băneasa Shopping City și a fost inaugurat în data de 12 octombrie. În cadrul magazinului Victorias Secret din incinta Băneasa Shopping City va fi comercializată întreagă gamă de produse a brandului. Retailerului american i s-a dedicat un spațiu de peste 500 mp, situat la parterul mall-ului. Victoria’s Secret are în prezent 1.020 de filiale în SUA, ca și 312 în Canada. În februarie 2008, compania avea 97.000 de angajați.
