Une voiture volante électrique approuvée pour des essais en vol
Pictures must credit: Alef Aeronautics A flying car with vertical take-off and landing capabilities has taken its first test flight. The aircraft, by US company Aled Aeronautics, called Model A, looks like a road car with four wheels. Since it has the body of a conventional car, owners can drive it on roads and leave it in car parks. Aled says it has a driving range of 200 miles and a flight range of 110 miles. The successful test flight was on February 19th. The firm’s CEO Jim Dukhovny said the test was ‘the first documented, verifiable flight of a flying car — an actual car, with vertical takeoff, non-tethered.” The vehicle comes with a gimbaled cabin design to keep it stable as it moves through the air as well as an elevon system found on aircraft ,to control the vertical and horizontal movement of the Alef Aeronautics flying car and its tilting. The battery-powered flyer uses four hub motors to get around on the street, in a minimalist mesh frame for weight saving.   In the middle is a domed cabin for one or two people that's completely isolated from the external bodywork.   It uses a set of eight propellers for vertical take-off and flight which for safety reasons are not exposed nit incorporated into the body.
