Ultimii doi mohicani de la uzinele Dacia vor iesi la pensie la sfarsitul acestui an, dupa aproape 40 de ani de munca neintrerupta la Mioveni. Alaturi de un coleg de la vopsitorie, inginerul Vasile Baiasu se afla printre putinii oameni care au apucat sa lucreze pentru Dacia de la primul model iesit pe portile uzinei pana la mult-mediatizatul Logan. Omul este o istorie vie a industriei auto romanesti.
La 63 de ani, Vasile Baiasu se poate mandri ca a “nasit” peste doua milioane de Dacii, atat cat a produs pana acum Uzina de la Mioveni. In urma cu 38 de ani, Baiasu, proaspat absolvent al Facultatii de Constructii Masini, pasea pentru prima oara in fabrica pitesteana. Tocmai incepuse asamblarea primului model, Renault 8, cunoscut de romani sub numele de Dacia 1100. “Masina nu era fabricata efectiv aici, ci doar asamblata din colectii CKD aduse din Franta”, povesteste inginerul, care fusese repartizat atunci in cadrul sectiei “Mecanic Sef”.
La scurt timp, el a participat la lansarea unuia dintre cele mai renumite modele fabricate de Renault in lume, Renault 12, alias Dacia 1300. “Masina a fost tinuta ascunsa sub prelate, nu ne-au lasat sa ne uitam pana in ultimul moment. Lansarea s-a facut concomitent la Paris si la Mioveni. A avut un succes deosebit”, spune inginerul pitestean despre masina care a fost produsa la Mioveni din 1969 pana in 2004.
Binecunoscuta Berlina, autoturismul-simbol al Romaniei ante si post-decembriste, avea sa cunoasca insa de atunci o epuizare tehnica, stilistica si fizica aproape continua. Chiar daca a muncit pentru ele, inginerul, se plange ca toate cele sapte modificari stilistice aduse ulterior Daciei 1300, incepand de la reproiectarea farurilor, a stopurilor si a plansei de bord, au fost care mai de care mai neinspirate. Omul povesteste ca de-a lungul timpului activitatea fabricii de autoturisme de la Mioveni a avut de suferit din cauza politicii de marketing impusa de regimul comunist. “Am avut doua caderi brutale de productie, in 1983 si 1987, din cauza acumularilor masive de stocuri. Se stransesera peste 3.000 de masini pe stoc si zaceau aici nevandute. Multe dintre ele au fost descompletate prin furturi masive de piese”, povesteste Baiasu, care din 1980 a lucrat ca sef al biroului de proiectare a utilajelor de pe linia de asamblare a autoturismelor.
In 1987, cand uzina a lansat o versiune bicorp, cu hayon, denumita Dacia 1320, Ceausescu a intervenit, dand dispozitie ca spatele alungit al masinii sa fie redus semnificativ. “Noi facem economie, nu risipa de material!”, a decretat supremul. Aceste limitari au afectat si mai mult calitatea autoturismelor pitestene, crede Baiasu.
Inginerul recunoaste indirect insa ca nici muncitorii uzinei nu erau straini de faptul ca o masina avea chederul mai jos, iar alta mai sus. “Noi nu aveam nici o facilitate la achizitionarea unei Dacii. In schimb, daca voiam sa ne luam una, aveam grija, urmarind atent ciclurile de productie, ca inca de la primul surub masina sa iasa asa cum trebuie”.
In martie 2004, cu trei luni inainte de lansarea oficiala, inginerul Vasile Baiasu a vazut pentru prima oara la Mioveni ce inseamna materializarea conceptului X90. “A avut un impact puternic asupra noastra. In sfarsit, vedeam altceva”, marturiseste acesta, mandru ca pe actuala linie de montaj general, proiectata si realizata chiar de echipa lui in 1987, sunt executate acum si modelele Logan.
