Keith Flint a fost găsit mort în locuința sa din Dunmow, Marea Britanie, relatează The Sun. Colegii acestuia au confirmat decesul, într-un mesaj în care anunță că solistul trupei The Prodigy s-a sinucis.

"Am fost solicitaţi să intervenim luni în ajutorul unui bărbat la o adresă din Brook Hill, North End, în jurul orei 08:10. Am intervenit şi, din nefericire, s-a confirmat decesul bărbatului în vârstă de 49 de ani. Rudele sale au fost informate. Decesul nu este considerat suspect şi a fost pregătit un dosar care va fi trimis medicului legist'', a declarat o purtătoare de cuvânt a poliţiei din Essex., a declarat un purtător de cuvânt al poliției din Essex, pentru sursa citată.
Ulterior, colegii săi de trupă au anunțat că solistul trupei Prodigy, Keith Flint, și-a pus capăt zilelor.
"Cu adâncă tristețe confirmăm moartea fratelui și celui mai bun prieten al nostru, Keith Flint", au transmis membrii trupei Prodigy, Liam Howlett și Maxim Reality, adăugând că Flint a fost un "adevărat pionier, inovator și o legendă".
"Îi vom simți lipsa mereu", au mai scris aceștia. Liam Howlett, membrul trupei Prodigy, a transmis un mesaj și pe Instagram.
"Știrea este adevărată, Nu pot să cred că spun că fratele nostru Keith și-a luat viața în acest weekend. Sunt șocat, foarte furios, confuz și cu inima frântă...R.I.P. frate Liam #theprodigy" a fost mesajul postat de Liam Howlett pe rețeaua de socializare.

Keith Flint este solistul trupei britanice The Prodigy, cunoscută pentru melodii precum "Firestarter" și "No good".

Formația a devenit cunoscută la începutul anilor '90, fiind considerată una dintre cele mai îndrăgite trupe britanice. Piesele "Firestarter" și "Breathe" au ocupat primele poziții în clasamentele muzicale, în 1996. În plus, The Prodigy a avut șase albume clasate pe primul loc în topurile muzicale.
Keith Flint a debutat la Prodigy ca dansator de trupă
Keith Flint a devenit cunoscut pentru stilul său excentric, precum și pentru interpretările energice din timpul concertelor.
El s-a născut în Redbridge, în estul Londrei, și s-a mutat în Braintree, Essex. La un club din acest oraș l-a cunoscut pe Liam Howlett, alături de care a fondat trupa The Prodigy.
Inițial, Keith Flint era doar dansator în trupă, însă a debutat ca solist pe piesa Firestarter, melodie care a adus faima The Prodigy.
The Prodigy a concertat la București în 1995, la Sala Polivalentă. Potrivit articolelor de presă din acea perioadă, trupa a încasat 40.000 de dolari, o sumă destul de mare pentru acea perioadă.
Au revenit în 1997 (cu un concert tot la Sala Polivalentă din Capitală), în 2007 (la Cokelive, pe Lacul Morii, dar și în Sibiu), apoi în 2009 (la Peninsula Festival din Târgu-Mureș)
Trupa a revenit în România pe 1 iulie 2011, concertând în cadrul festivalului Rock The City. A urmat un concert la Electric Castle, în 2015, și un nou show în 2018, cu prilejul festivalului Untold.
