Autoritățile au desfășurat un dispozitiv important de polițiști la Paris, capitala Franței, iar forțele de ordine au folosit gaze lacrimogene, sambătă, 12 septembrie, la revenirea pe străzi a susținătorilor mișcării de protest a ”vestelor galbene”, relatează Le Parisien.
Peste 500 de de manifestanți, conform Radio France Bleu, s-au strâns în două piețe din Paris pentru marșuri autorizate. La manifestații erau așteptate în jur de 4-5.000 de persoane, dintre care ”1.000 cu potențial violent”, potrivit Le Figaro.
Unul dintre marșuri a început fără incidente, însă celalalt, din Place de la Bourse, a fost întârziat, dupa ce politistii au folosit gaze lacrimogene pentru a-i dispersa pe protestatarii care părăsisera traseul stabilit și după ce unii manifestanți au incendiat pubele și o mașină.

Pana la ora locală 17, au fost reținuți 154 de manifestanți, a informat Le Parisien.

Noua mobilizare a vestelor galbene, care s-au adunat și la Marseille, și la Montpellier vine în contextul unei creșteri a numărului de cazuri de coronavirus.
Premierul Jean Castex a anunțat vineri că vrea să impună măsuri mai dure în anumite orașe și înmulțirea testelor, dar a spus că guvernul vrea să evite o noua carantină națională.
Mișcarea ”vestelor galbene” a izbucnit la finalul anului 2018, din cauza creșterii taxelor, dar și a unei legi a pensiilor. Francezii au ieșit în stradă în fiecare zi de sâmbătă, cu exceptia ultimelor luni, când nu au existat proteste din cauza restricțiilor cu privire la pandemia de coronavirus.
