In ultimii ani, cuvantul ‘grasime’ a capatat o conotatie negativa, fiind asociat cu multe probleme de sanatate. Grasimile sunt totusi un lucru esential pentru organismul uman si nu trebuie sa lipseasca dintr-o alimentatie sanatoasa.
Exista, in mare, trei tipuri de grasimi:
– nesaturate, care includ majoritatea grasimilor vegetale (mai putin uleiul de palmier si untul de cacao);
– saturate, care includ grasimile de origine animala, inclusiv lactate, unt, carne;
– cele de tip ‘trans’ sau hidrogenate artificial, care se gasesc in unele tipuri de margarina, in snackuri si mancarea de la fast-food. Acest tip de grasime nu exista in natura, deci este artificial.
Grasimile nesaturate sunt considerate cele mai bune, caci protejeaza organismului impotriva bolilor cardiace, iar cele de tip ‘trans’ sunt cele mai nocive, pentru ca predispun la afecti-uni cardiace, tromboze, accidente cerebrale si chiar cancer.
Grasimea are functii utile: protejeaza impotriva frigului, functioneaza ca un tampon in caz de lovituri, inmagazineaza energie, ajuta la producerea unor substante esentiale (cum ar fi hormonii) si la absorbtia vitaminelor A, D, E si K si contribuie la buna functionare a organismului. Totusi, consumul de grasimi trebuie sa fie moderat.
Accentuez faptul ca e gresit sa eliminam total grasimile din dieta. Trebuie doar sa alegem grasimile ‘bune’ si sa le ocolim pe cele ‘rele’. Acestea din urma sunt grasimile saturate (de origine animala, cu exceptia uleiului de peste), precum si grasimile de tip ‘trans’, care se regasesc in multe uleiuri vegetale hidrogenate. Atunci cand vedeti ‘uleiuri hidrogenate’ pe eticheta produsului, nu-l cumparati!
Uleiurile din plante nu prezinta riscuri
Grasimile bune sunt in primul rand cele nesaturate, de origine vegetala – uleiul de masline, de alune, de floarea-soarelui si de porumb. Desi cele de palmier si de nuca de cocos au grasimi saturate, contin si substante sanatoase. Si lactatele degresate sunt bune, la fel pestele, carnea de oaie si de vita, dar in cantitati moderate.
Un meniu bogat in grasimi, in special in saturate si ‘trans’, duce la obezitate, imbatranire prematura, artrita, boli cardiace, accidente cerebrovasculare si diverse tipuri de cancer. Daca stiti ca aveti o astfel de dieta, trebuie sa luati masuri. Iata pasii care trebuie urmati:
– schimbati-va regimul cu unul bazat pe mancaruri fierte ori preparate pe gratar. Inlocuiti carnea cu peste si consumati fibre solubile (mere, mango, portocale), pentru ca absorb grasimile si ajuta la eliminarea lor;
– consumati ulei de peste, de masline ori de alune, deoarece ajuta la scaderea colesterolului rau (LDL) si cresterea colesterolului bun (HDL);
– faceti sport, ajuta la arderea grasimilor;
– renuntati la tigari si alcool. Fumatul poate creste nivelul grasimilor in sange, iar bautura in cantitati mari ajuta la depunerea acesteia;
– folositi plante medicinale. Nucile, ceaiul de urzica si de frunze de vita-de-vie pot ajuta la diminuarea nivelului de grasimi din sange;
– homeopatia imbunatateste metabolismul, ducand la cresterea ritmului in care ardem grasimile;
– acupunctura este foarte utila. Mobilizeaza energiile organismului, ducand la cresterea arderilor si, prin urmare, la eliminarea grasimilor.
