Pigcasso a fost salvată în anul 2016 de la o fermă de porci și adusă la Farm Sanctuary SA, lângă Cape Town, în Africa de Sud. Potrivit proprietarei sanctuarului, animalul a avut o atracție naturală spre pictură, notează CBC News.
La puțin timp după ce a salvat porcul, Lefson, stăpâna lui Pigcasoo, a lăsat-o pe aceasta să se joace cu câteva lucruri, printre care și câteva pensule.
"Dintr-un motiv necunoscut, ea a luat un mănunchi de pensule și nu a durat mult până a început să danseze cu pensula pe pânză și să vândă lucrări în toată lumea", a povestit Lefson pentru CBS News.

Pigcasso folosește o pensulă personalizată și o vopsea non-toxică pentru a face capodopere abstracte. Ea semnează colțul fiecărei picturi cu vârful botului ei, folosind un amestec de sfeclă roșie și cerneală acrilică. Când nu pictează, Pigcasso îi place să-și ia gustarea preferat preferată: popcorn cu caramel.

Anul acesta, în februarie, Pigcasso a lansat o colaborare cu Swatch Lefson a spus că Swatch, compania de ceasuri elvețiene l-a contactat pe Pigcasso după expoziția pe care a avut-o. Compania a dorit colaborarea cu animalul pentru a sărbători Anul Chinezesc al Porcului.

Misiunea Farm Sanctuary SA este de a inspira compasiunea față de animalele de fermă.
